Training Course on Performance Management

The courses are delivered at weekends residentially at Aston University and are intended for practioners wanting to know how quantitative Methods of Performance Measurement work. At the core of the courses are DEA and Econometric Methods, including Stochastic Frontier Methods. There are 5 courses altogether each one taking 4 full days spread over two weekends three weeks apart.

M1 Introduction to Quan’tive Methods for Management Normally in November
M2 Organisational Behaviour and Business Performance Normally April and May
M3 Econometric Methods in Performance Measurement Normally January and February
M4 Data Envelopment Analysis Normally January andFebruary
M5 The Application of DEA and Econometric Methods. Normally April – May Module

M1 introduces the student to concepts from linear programming and statistics which form the necessary foundation for modules M3 and M4. Module M2 draws from research in Organisational Behaviour in respect of people management, team working and organisational performance. Modules M3 and M4 offer in-depth training drawn from the latest research developments in DEA and econometric methods, as applied to comparative efficiency assessment and more generally to performance management. Module M5 looks at the broader organisational context and the issues arising in implementing the technical methods covered in modules M3 and M4.
