We first introduce the basic DEA\u00a0models. The balance of this chapter focuses on evidences showing DEA has\u00a0been extensively applied for measuring efficiency and productivity of services\u00a0including financial services (banking, insurance, securities, and fund management),\u00a0professional services, health services, education services, environmental and public\u00a0services, energy services, logistics, tourism, information technology, telecommunications,\u00a0transport, distribution, audio-visual, media, entertainment, cultural and\u00a0other business services. Finally, we provide information on the use of Performance\u00a0Improvement Management Software (PIM-DEA).
